New Jersey Tap Water: A State with Strict Standards
New Jersey was the first state to set drinking water standards for PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Tap water in Bergen County, home to many Korean-American families, meets these standards, and lead service lines in older homes are being replaced under state law.
